“The undergraduate program aims to prepare graduates to practice at the full scope of the Certified Professional Midwife credential through the demonstration of broad, integrative, and specialized knowledge.” (MCU, 2021)

  • I will make sure to attend all my 25 primary births before mid January 2024
  • I will pass all  Fall 2023 courses with an A and keep my 3.95 GPA
  • I will sit for the NARM exam in February 2024

A Midwife of Professional Excellence

“The undergraduate program aims to advance equity and access in midwifery, as well as to prepare graduates to serve in diverse communities in culturally safe, ethical, and collaborative ways.” (MCU, 2021)

  • I will extend my involvement in the local midwife community and continue to work on legislation matters for Traditional Midwives and their exemptions to practice.
  • I will start offering monitrice services until I become licensed (around March 2024)
  • I will connect with other brand-new midwives in 2024 and solidify my connections with the elder midwives in my community to ensure I will thrive in my new role

A Midwife of Personal Greatness

        • I will make midwifery practice sustainable for myself and my children
        • I will take time for self-care and create regular “off call” times every year
        • I will attend to my family’s needs as much as I can and reevaluate my client commitments every few months even if that means I may have to take some time off
          •
